The Saint Clement School Board provides consultation and advice to the Pastor and Principal of Saint Clement School. The school board’s role is to support the mission of the school, assist the administration with project and programs as requested, evaluate and review policies, promote and facilitate communication among parents and the administration, and receive and evaluate feedback from various sources in conjunction with the Pastor and Principal. The school board shall consist of nine elected members who are either parishioners and/or parents of children at Saint Clement School. Elections for new members are held each spring and are appointed by the Pastor. Board members choose their leadership and committee responsibilities for the next year in June of the prior year.

Our Saint Clement School Advisory Board is a collection of 9 individuals from within our school community who have a vested interest in helping our school set up and achieve goals that will enhance the overall success of the entire school community. Three of our current School Board members will be completing their terms of service at the end of the 2020-21 school year. The nominating committee of the board is now seeking candidates to fill these three vacancies. Each position carries with it a 3-year commitment of participation, beginning with the 2021-22 school year.
The School Board is an advisory group that works closely with our principal and our pastor in listening to and sharing ideas to address issues that are important to our parish school community. Through the work of its various committees (Finance, Building & Facilities, Marketing, Strategic Planning, Policy Development & Formation, and Development, Annual Fund & Alumni), the Board provides financial oversight on the school's finances and budget, monitors the condition of our building and facilities, coordinates marketing and admissions activities, assists with the development and implementation of school policy and strategic plans, and supports fundraising and development initiatives. Board members are selected based on qualifications set forth in our by-laws and are appointed by our principal and pastor. Key qualifications for board membership are as follows:
● Interest in and commitment to the Catholic educational ministry of Saint Clement School and Saint Clement Parish;
● Current school parent whose children: (i) have attended Saint Clement School for at least 2 years, (ii) are in at least first grade, and (iii) will be attending Saint Clement School for the duration of the proposed member’s term;
● Availability to attend monthly meetings, chair a committee and actively engage in committee work;
● Capacity to give witness to Catholic, moral and ethical values within the school community and the ability to maintain high levels of integrity and confidentiality; and
● Willingness to participate in and provide leadership for development programs for the school.
