Fair Trade Market
Please join the Justice Ministry for Saint Clement’s ninth annual Fair Trade Market on Sunday, November 4 from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. in Fireside Hall.
The Fair Trade Market will feature over 20 fair trade vendors who work with marginalized artisans and farmers from around the world. Fair Trade is an alternative business model that guarantees 1) workers receive fair wages for their work, 2) workers work in safe working conditions, 3) the environment is protected during the production process, and 4) there is no child labor. This year’s vendors will be offering fair trade products including jewelry, accessories, ornaments, home décor, coffee, and olive oil.
As consumers, we have the power to improve the lives of workers around the world by choosing fair trade. As Catholics, we have an opportunity to live out our faith more fully as fair trade aligns with many Catholic Social Teachings.
