Schola Clementis enjoys a reputation as one of the finest Catholic church choirs in the United States. The choir has been consistently hailed for its precision and vigor as well as its musical spirituality. The choir brings this high level of musicianship first and foremost to its weekly ministry, singing the great choral treasures of the Church — from Gregorian chant and Renaissance polyphony through the most contemporary repertoire of the new millennium — at the 11:15 a.m. Sunday liturgy, October through May.

The ensemble has toured Europe twice in recent years singing for Pope John Paul II in Rome by invitation of the Vatican, and performing in many of the great cathedrals and churches of France, including Notre Dame Cathedral and Saint Sulpice Church in Paris, Mont-St-Michel Abbey in Normandy, Chartres Cathedral, and by special invitation at Saint Sernin Basilica in Toulouse for the prestigious Toulouse les Orgues International Organ Festival. In 2005, the choir sang for the National Convention of the Knights of Columbus, and in the summer of 2006 the choir performed two formal concerts for the National Convention of the American Guild of Organists. The choir is comprised mostly of non-professional singers, the majority of whom are active Saint Clement parishioners. Choir members maintain a rigorous schedule of midweek and Sunday morning rehearsals from September through May, and in addition to an expansive repertoire, they are provided regular training in vocal techniques, sight reading, and solfège. Schola Clementis rehearsals take place on Wednesday evenings from 7:00pm to 9:00pm, and on Sunday mornings from 10:00am to 11:00am.  Membership is open to all singers by audition.
