Friday Sack Lunches

For many years, Saint Clement parishioners have generously prepared sack lunches for the hungry, which are distributed from the parish every Friday morning. Click here to learn more and sign up.

 

Hospitality during Friday Sack Lunches

Join other volunteers from our Parish and aid in offering coffee and hot chocolate to those who wait in line outside during our regularly scheduled Friday sack lunch program. Share in hospitality and conversation, and serve as a welcoming face of Saint Clement. Monthly Food Drive at Saint Clement Parish

Help feed the hungry in our community! Saint Clement will continue its monthly food drive on the last weekend of every month. Donations of nonperishable food items can be placed in the labeled bin in the parish office during open hours. Donations will be distributed to local food pantries in need. Thank you for your support!
 
 

Baby Bottle Fundraiser Benefitting Aid for Women

Return bottles by Wednesday, October 20

Thank you to all who picked up a baby bottle at Mass in early October. If you haven't picked up a bottle and would still like to do so, they are available in the vestibule.  The last deadline for bottle drop-off is Wednesday, Oct. 20. You may also choose to donate online here.  Donations support Aid for Women, which provides supportive services to women in difficult and unplanned pregnancy situations.

 

Catholic Charities Soup Kitchen

Once a month, Saint Clement volunteers assist volunteers from Holy Name Cathedral in serving Catholic Charities' Friday supper. As Catholic Charities has transitioned to meals served to-go, volunteers are needed to help box and package 225 meals every third Friday of the month.
 
Masks and gloves will be provided, and the workspace is large enough to ensure social distancing. Additionally, all packed meals are distributed by Catholic Charities security personnel outside of the building, so volunteers will not be in direct contact with guests.  For more information and to sign up, contact Martina Ricca

  • Time: 11:30am-1:30pm (tentative timing; please note, the start time varies and will be shared with volunteers the week of the event)

Catholic Charities Sack Lunches

Every Tuesday, volunteers from Saint Clement provide 30 sack lunches for Catholic Charities to supplement the organization's Tuesday Evening dinner services year-round. Lunches are dropped off at Catholic Charities' main location, 721 N. LaSalle, by 4pm on Tuesday afternoons or the Monday evening before. (Typically volunteers make either 15 or 30 lunches each.) Please consider providing lunches any Tuesday that you are availalable! For guidelines on what to include in lunches or to sign up for an upcoming date, please email Martina Ricca

Lincoln Park Community Services

Twice a month, Saint Clement volunteers serve dinner for the Guests at LPCS! UPDATE: LPCS has lifted its COVID restrictions and is now back to allowing in-person volunteers in their kitchens at Fullerton and Sedgwick. Volunteers can participate by cooking onsite at LPCS or by preparing part of a meal at home and dropping it off.  Contact Martina Ricca to sign-up.

Our Lady of the Angels

Our Lady of the Angels is located in the Humboldt Park area of the city providing resources to those who are materially poor and sharing the Gospel with those they encounter. Right now, Our Lady of the Angels is needing volunteers on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Saturdays.  Volunteer opportunities include working in the food pantries and after school programs.  At this time, they are only allowing for adult volunteers.  Please visit their volunteer page to sign-up!

 

Cradles to Crayons

Cradles to Crayons is a local non-profit that works to assist children affected by poverty by providing them with the essential materials to be successful in school.  They provide items like books, cold-weather clothing, and shoes to families in need.  Their Giving Factory is equipped with specific stations for sorting, organizing, and packaging donated items for distribution.  Cradles to Crayons is looking for new volunteers to help fill weekly and weekend volunteer spots at the Giving Factory!
