Friday Sack Lunches & Hospitality

For many years, Saint Clement parishioners have generously prepared sack lunches for the hungry, which are distributed from the parish every Friday morning.

Before we distribute the lunches, we provide breakfast and hospitality to our brothers and sisters in need as they wait in line.

Please note, we have expanded our sack lunch opportunities! In addition to our usual Friday sack lunch distribution, we are committing to providing lunch once a week to each of the homeless shelters run by Lincoln Park Community Services (LPCS). We value your dedication to those in need by preparing sack lunches regularly.

Lenten Almsgiving:
Support the Seniors in MOLA’s Food Delivery Program

Almsgiving is how we put mercy into action during Lent. This year, we’re supporting 300 homebound seniors served by Mission of our Lady of the Angels — many without basic household necessities or even working heat.

Our goal is to raise $25,000 - your gift helps provide food, essential household items, and dignity to those most in need.

Please consider joining with us to support this vital work.

Serve with us. Be the Hands of Christ.

The requested items will change from month to month and will be announced in advance, along with instructions on whether donations should be made directly with the organization or brought to the parish. We appreciate your generosity and support!

Together for Our Immigrant Neighbors

Encountering Christ in Our Immigrant Neighbors — How You Can Help

[Added 12/11/2025] - Immigrant families in our community continue to face hardship, and the need for support and prayer is great. Recently, young adults from Iskali, a Catholic organization empowering young Latinos from immigrant families in Chicago, spent Thanksgiving visiting families affected by detention and loss—bringing groceries, prayers, and presence.

Our parishioner Manuel Gomez joined the volunteers and was deeply moved by the courage and faith he witnessed. These encounters remind us all of the call to respond with compassion. We invite you to read about this experience here.

At Saint Clement, we are proud to partner with Iskali in this mission. Representatives recently spoke at our Immigrant Support Resource Night, and through Clement Commits, we donated $15,000 to help fund emergency food assistance for immigrant families.

We invite you to learn more about Iskali and explore ways to get involved—whether through volunteering, prayer, or supporting their vital work. Encountering Christ in our neighbors calls us all to act. For more information, visit Iskali Website or contact Vicente Del Real vicente@iskali.org.

Together, let us stand with our immigrant brothers and sisters with compassion and hope.

Letter from Christa Kingsley, Manager of Social Justice & Outreach

Thank you to everyone who joined us for Wednesday 11/12’s Mass of Solidarity and the Immigrant Support Resource Night. We hope you found meaningful ways to connect with the organizations doing vital work in neighborhoods across our city.

The evening was truly beautiful—full of energy, compassion, and a shared commitment to justice.

Each of the organizations that presented offers tangible ways to get involved, and I’d be glad to talk with you about how your interests and skills might align. Many of them are also in need of pro bono legal support, among other forms of engagement.

Please feel free to reach out directly using this list of key contacts for the organizations that participated:
