Wine Down Wednesday 2025 - Recap

Cheers to an amazing summer of community at Wine Down Wednesday!

And that’s a wrap on Wine Down Wednesday for 2025! This week’s needlepoint workshop given by our friends at Third Coast Stitches capped a run of outstanding programs: a pickleball tournament, two(!) concerts, flower arranging, an incredible night with Sally Blount… It was a summer to remember!

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us this summer and helped celebrate our vibrant parish community! In total, we had over 800 guests attend our six evenings.

We couldn’t have done it without our amazing volunteers and staff. Special thanks to Leo Rubinkowski, Dominic Reyes, Max Wink, Jessica Tello Kleinschmidt, and Katie Bak for making it all happen, and to Erika Wenson for capturing each night with photos and videos!

To everyone who contributed in any way—setting up, welcoming guests, or helping behind the scenes—thank you! This summer was a testament to our collective commitment to growing the Kingdom of God with joy.

A look back at summer 2025 at WDW:

  • June 11: Clement Open – We kicked off summer with the Clement Open, a lighthearted pickleball tournament alongside classic lawn and card games for all ages. Whether playing, cheering, or catching up with friends, it was a night of fun for everyone.

June 18: Glorified in Music – The Schola Clementis and Landmark Brass Ensemble led an inspiring concert celebrating the joy of praising God through music. The evening included a blessing of our pastoral musician and an outdoor reception.

July 9: Matt Maher – Goodness in the Storm – Acclaimed artist Matt Maher brought a powerful evening of worship and music, offering hope and healing through song. It was a night of prayer, praise, and unforgettable faith-filled reflection.

July 16: L’Art des Fleurs with the Flower Guild – Our Flower Guild shared their artistry, teaching the beauty of floral arranging and showcasing the creativity that enhances our worship year-round.

August 13: Guest Speaker – Sally Blount – Sally Blount, President & CEO of Catholic Charities and former dean of Northwestern’s Kellogg School of Management, shared her leadership insights and faith journey.

August 20: Hobby Hour with Third Coast Stitches – The co-founders of Third Coast Stitches guided us in needlepoint on a custom Saint Clement canvas. With kits, community, and creativity, it was an evening of learning and connection.
