(Order of Christian Initiation of Adults)

(for the previous update, please scroll down and click the left arrow found towards the bottom of the screen)

This Sunday, February 22, our 75 member OCIA cohort will take part in the Rite of Election celebrated by Bishop Robert Lombardo at Holy Name Cathedral at 7 pm. It’s a ticketed event. Our catechumens, preparing for all three sacraments of initiation will be chosen by the Church, in the name of Christ, to move closer to these sacraments at the Easter Vigil, April 4.

Our Candidates, Christians and Catholics, will be called to continuing conversion, as we all are. The Lenten season is focused on our continued conversion. Please keep them all in your prayers!

In his letter for Lent, Pope Francis reminds us to re-place the mystery of Christ at the center of our lives. He also invites us to welcome the word of God in a docile spirit, to let it touch our hearts and transform our lives. During Lent we accompany him on the road to Jerusalem and during the Easter Triduum, we witness the mystery of Christ’s passion, death and Resurrection. How can we not be changed?

Registration for our Spring – Fall OCIA will open in March. Please email Ed Harasim, our OCIA Coordinator, eharasim@clement.org, for further information on the process of joining the Church or completing your sacraments of initiation through Confirmation and/or First Communion.

- Fr. Radley Alcantara and Ed Harasim
