Virtus Requirements

Volunteer Compliance Requirements

All volunteers who work directly with children are required to complete the following six items.

Start by registering as a user on VIRTUS® Online.

Please keep your login credentials handy because you will need them while you are at Saint Clement and we don't have access to them or the ability to reset them for you.

The requirements include:

A) Three items from VIRTUS® Online

B) Three required forms

A) VIRTUS® Online Requirements

1. Protecting God's Children Training
   This training is completed when you first create your VIRTUS account. Every three years, you will be assigned the Keeping the Promise Alive training for recertification. Your VIRTUS homepage will indicate whether you need to complete this training this year.

2. Criminal Background Check – CANTS 689
   This check is completed when you first create your VIRTUS account and is renewed every three years. Your VIRTUS homepage will notify you if it needs to be updated. If required, refer to the forms section below.

3. Mandatory Reporter Training – CANTS 22
   This training is assigned when you first create your VIRTUS account and is renewed every three years. Your VIRTUS homepage will indicate if it is due this year.

   • Complete and sign the CANTS 22 form, which acknowledges your status as a mandatory reporter.

   • As noted below, return the signed form to compliance@stclementschool.org

B) Required Forms

1. Archdiocesan Standards of Behavior
   This form must be signed annually and can be completed electronically within your VIRTUS account

2. Background Form – CANTS 689 Form
   This form must be completed annually (the cycle resets on July 1). It tracks the Child Abuse and Neglect System with DCFS.

• Return the completed form to compliance@stclementschool.org.

• Do not send it directly to DCFS.

3. Acknowledgement of Mandated Reporter Status – CANTS 22 Form
   This form confirms your understanding and acceptance of your role as a mandated reporter.
