We are pleased to announce the 2026-2027 season of Sacred Music Under the Dome. This series of liturgies and concerts draw from the great treasury of Christian sacred music. More than simply concerts, these events are meant to lift the spirits of those that attend in prayer and encounter through divine beauty.

REQUIEM AETERNAM: ALL SOULS DAY
Featuring the Music of Maurice Durufle’s Requiem, Op.9
Monday, November 2nd at 7:30 p.m.
Our annual Requiem Mass for All Souls Day. We will pray in a special way for all our loved ones who have passed on from this world, especially those who have died in the past year. Maurice Durufle’s setting of the traditional Requiem texts will be sung by a choir and orchestra, elevating and illuminating these beautiful ancient prayers. This liturgy is open to all and there is no cost to attend.
HODIE CHRISTUS NATUS EST: A CEREMONY OF CAROLS
Featuring Benjamin Britten’s A Ceremony of Carols, Op.28

7:30 p.m. Full Concert
Our annual Christmas Concert returns with a beloved favorite, Britten’s A Ceremony of Carols. This masterwork for choir and solo harp is sure to fill your heart with the spirit of the season. The morning concert will be family-friendly with narration by Terri Hemmert of WXRT Radio. The evening program will feature additional seasonal music for strings, harp, and choir. Tickets available in November 2026.
STABAT MATER: A MOTHER’S LAMENT
Featuring Pergolesi’s Stabat Mater
Friday, March 5th at 7:30 p.m.
A Lenten concert which reflects on the Passion of Jesus through the eyes of his mother, Mary. Pergolesi’s Stabat Mater brings to life the heart wrenching text of the sequence (hymn) written for the Feast of Our Lady of Sorrows. Performed by two solo vocalists, strings, and continuo, this concert is not to be missed. Tickets available in January 2027.
COR AMORIS: THE SACRED HEART
Featuring Palestrina’s Missa Papae Marcelli
Sunday June 6th at the 11:15 a.m. Mass
A Sung Mass in commemoration of the one-year anniversary of the Consecration of the United Stated to the Sacred Heart of Jesus. The musical setting of the texts of the Mass will be taken from Palestrina’s most well-known Mass, Missa Papae Marcelli. Sung acapella by a 45-voice chorus, this Mass will be offered for the intention of unity in the United States. This liturgy is open to all and there is no cost to attend.
ADOREMUS: MONTHLY SUNG VESPERS & ADORATION
Join us for an evening of prayer and meditative chant music, led by a small acapella choir. The service will include sung Vespers, Adoration, and confession will be offered throughout. The evening will conclude with Benediction.
Mass is offered at 6:00 p.m. followed by Vespers at 6:30 p.m.
