Fall 2025 at Saint Clement: Connection, Purpose, and
Faith-filled Community in Chicago

Connect. Reflect. Grow.
Step into Fall at Saint Clement Parish

As the air turns crisp and the days grow shorter, autumn offers a moment to slow down, reflect, and choose what matters most. For some, that means finding a Catholic community in Chicago where they can feel at home. For others, it’s about deepening their relationship with Jesus, rediscovering joy in prayer, or putting their faith into action through service.

At Saint Clement Parish in Lincoln Park, we believe everyone deserves a place to belong. This fall, we invite you to discover Catholic community, grow in your faith, and encounter God in new ways—whether you’re exploring Catholicism for the first time, returning after time away, or simply seeking meaningful connections.

A Place to Belong

Belonging starts with connection—whether that’s lingering after morning Masses for coffee and donuts while meeting new friends, or unwinding after the evening Masses at Sundays Uncorked, where a glass of wine and conversation set the tone for the week ahead. We kicked off the season with our inaugural Fall Game Night, which brought together all ages for BINGO, pickleball, kids’ activities, and good food—setting the tone for a season of friendship and community in the heart of Chicago’s Lincoln Park.

UP AHEAD: On Nov. 15/16, we will come together for our Feast Day of St. Clement celebrations, honoring our patron saint who continues to inspire us to be a community anchored in love, unity, and hope.

For those looking to step into community in a deeper way, Alpha offers a welcoming, nonjudgmental space to explore life’s biggest questions and discover the foundations of the Christian faith. The Women’s & Men’s Executive Series gathered professionals to connect over shared experiences, offering encouragement and inspiration for living out faith in daily life.

A Space to Grow in Faith

Once you’ve found a place to belong, you may feel called to go deeper in your Catholic faith. Our Beta series is designed for just that—like Holy Rebels, which invited you to follow Jesus with courage in a culture that often pulls in other directions, and Catholic Liturgy, which will open your eyes to the beauty and meaning of the Mass.

The online Bible Course, hosted by Fr. John Kartje, offered clarity, context, and a deeper understanding of Scripture, helping you see God’s story unfold in a way that is personal and transformative.

A Call to Put Faith into Action

Faith comes alive when it’s lived for others. That’s why this fall, our parish family united for our first Fall Service Day, building on our tradition of partnering with organizations across Chicagoland to serve those in need. It was more than a volunteer day—it was a living witness to the Gospel in action. Thank you to all who participated!!

We held our annual H.U.G.S. drive (9/29-10/19). Thanks to your support, we collected a total of 542 items of hats, underwear, gloves, and socks, as well as t-shirts, long johns and more to help our neighbors in need stay warm this winter. The items will be distributed to the Night Ministry, Lincoln Park Community Services, Franciscan Outreach and our guests at Friday Morning Hospitality. Your generous support of Saint Clement’s mission to provide service to others is heart-warming and inspiring. Thank you!

UP AHEAD: Our annual Thanksgiving Food Bags Drive (11/1-11/13) will support Mission of Our Lady of the Angels. Grab a canvas bag from the chapel or parish office, fill it with items requested by the sisters of MOLA, and add a personal touch by decorating the bag or including a Thanksgiving note. Your kindness will bring warmth and joy to someone's holiday!

Additionally, we are so excited for the church restorations that are underway! In order to ensure that our incredible worship space is ready to welcome everyone back for the weekend, we are looking for volunteers to help us clean! Join us for our Community Church Clean-up (Nov. 7 & 8)!

Moments of Worship, Inspiration, & Healing

Worship is at the heart of our life together, and this fall we were thrilled to host Worship Night with Fr. Rob Galea—an evening in October (10/23) of music, prayer, and powerful testimony from one of the Catholic Church’s most dynamic voices. It’s the kind of night you’ll want to invite a friend to experience.

We experienced the heart of prayer, peace and healing at our Night of Adoration & Healing for Mental Health (Oct 9). This evening included adoration, opportunities for the sacraments of healing—confession and anointing of the sick—and music by Orchard Street Worship.

UP AHEAD: In November, we continue this season of prayer and remembrance. On All Saints Day (Nov. 1, 10:00 a.m. Mass), we’ll celebrate the holy men and women whose extraordinary faith inspires us to live with joy and courage, coming together to give thanks for their example and intercession. The following day, on All Souls (Nov. 2), we honor all who have gone before us with prayer, Mass, and special devotions, remembering our loved ones in God’s mercy. These Masses will be held in the chapel and school as our church will still be under restoration that weekend.

The following week, we will invite you to participate in the Altar of the Dead (Nov. 8 & 9), a time to place names and photos of deceased loved ones on our Altar of Mary as we lift them up in prayer throughout November. Our Solemn Adoration and Vespers for All Souls (Nov. 13) will offer a reflective evening of Mass, Adoration, and prayer for all the faithful departed—a quiet space to entrust those we love to God’s mercy and reflect on the hope of resurrection. At this service we will pray for all the deceased remembers at the Altar of the Dead.

As we pray for the faithful departed, we also remember those still journeying among us who are in need of compassion and support. We invite you to join us for Mass and Immigrant Support Resource Night (Nov. 12). At 6:00 p.m., Mass will be offered for immigrants, uniting our community in prayer and solidarity with our immigrant neighbors. Following Mass, enjoy light refreshments in Fireside and join our Immigrant Support Resource Night (7:00 p.m.), where representatives from partner organizations will share about their work supporting immigrants and ways you can get involved. You are also invited to continue praying on your own or with others using the 40 Day Prayer Guide for Immigrants—a resource for ongoing prayer, presence, and action as we live out our call to love our neighbors in concrete ways.
